At under £120 this is a very impressive tenor ukulele. And the fact that it comes with a gigbag that would be £30 on its own is astounding! Rightly, aNueNue have an excellent reputation for building some of the best professional quality ukuleles in the world - the Bird and Moon Bird series are amongst the best ukuleles money can buy - and they have now managed to make similarly well made and amazing value instruments at the lower price point.

Made of laminate mahogany, this uke sounds rich, and loud, but never muddy like some laminate mahogany ukes can. Whilst maintaining the thick and rich texture in the sound, the clarity of individual notes in chords comes through very impressively. This one beats ukes from other more recognised "high street" brands at higher price points, some of which offer a solid top for more money.

So for a younger student who wants something very playable, well made and a cut above at the price, the U series ukes really must be considered.
