Alongside the KoAloha Opios and aNueNues, Big Island ukuleles represent the best ukulele manufacturing in the East at the moment. A ukulele of this spec, with a Fishman pickup, cutaway, all the bling and super high grade wood would cost double the amount at least from one of the Hawaiian or US builders. The guys that make these really know what they are doing!

As you would expect from a well built solid koa instrument with a gloss finish, this has a lovely crystal clear and zingy sound. The intonation is as good as you would expect, ie not perfect at the 12th fret not far out at all. To make it more precise you could replace the strings with a good set of Fluorocarbons (Worth or Martin) but you would trade off a little of the top end in the sound.
