Blackbird Farallon Tenor Ukulele Ekoa Satin Finish Top Dots/Soundport with gigbag

Named for the Islands off the coast of San Francisco, Blackbird's Farallon ukulele is the first tenor crafted from ekoa, a high-performance material made of natural linen fiber and bioresin. Farallon's unique ekoa soundboard is lighter than wood and tuned for a powerful vintage tone. This ecological composite is structurally superior to vintage old-growth wood, and is temperature and humidity stable.

As with all Blackbird Farallons, this model has a hollow neck with a small soundhole at the headstock, which does really help the player get a good earful of their sound. The hollow neck increases the overall vibration of the ukulele. It helps overcome the normal issues with dead spots and wolf notes which are caused by the neck and body of a conventionally built ukulele vibrating at different frequencies.

But, this one also features the aluminium side dots on the neck and a side soundport. It comes with Blackbird's new satin finish which makes the Ekoa look really silky smooth and tactile. Perhaps also a little more like natural wood as well, like a lovely deep walnut. The satin finish, soundport and topdots are cost options.
