This is a fantastic, neigh, world class concert electro ukulele here that previously belonged to Alex the manager so we'll let him describe it:

This Imua is easily one of the best concert ukuleles I have ever owned. It's so good that I sold it once and tracked the owner down and purchased it back when I came to record my album because I couldn't think of an instrument that could do the job better. The natural finish mixed with the punch of the spruce and sweetness of koa just give you a great gentle sounding ukulele that can be heard in a crowd.

It does have a dink on the side you can make out in the photos of the side but a gig-ready MiSi pickup and red Attitude gigbag hopefully more than make up for this. Imua recently announced themselves inactive and considering their options, including moving production to a new premises and this is quite possibly the only natural finish spruce concerts that Imua ever made.

These ukuleles are just fantastic. An excellent combination of spruce and koa really is just the most adaptable mixture of sharp and sweet you can get. Imua have painstakingly sourced this Alpine spruce to compliment the already fantastic koa. Whether you pick or strum, this uke has warmth in spades but just the right amount of snap when you really lay into the strings that you can bend it to your will and adapt to any style.

Please note that the bear claw features in the wood are not the marks in the finish. These marks are tiny and impossible to photograph.

IMUA were emerging new stars of the Hawaiian ukulele world beginning in 2012. Founded by the man originally behind Big Island/Honu ukuleles; Jorma Winkler has worldwide links with the finest woods available in the world and in IMUA ukuleles it really shows.

IMUA simply have some of the most gorgeous looking and sounding tonewoods and continue to make them into a comfortable, well built ukulele to be enjoyed. The ukulele build designs can be credited to Shinji Takahashi, master luthier from Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan who oversaw production in Honolulu up until recently.

If you like the KoAloha Opio but want something just a little bit more traditional in appearance and feel then this is probably your best option.
