D'Addario Tenor Fifths CGDA Ukulele Strings - Silverwound/Nylon Strings (SUS Custom Set)

The Southern Ukulele Store is proud to offer this custom set of tenor fifths tuning (CGDA) ukulele strings.

You asked for it and Alex developed it... Fifths tuning has always been a popular alternative tuning for the ukulele. Making your ukulele tuned like a cello or a mandocello opens up the tonal possibilities for a player, even if some people aren't keen on learning these new chord shapes! Many notable ukulele players have used this tuning including George of the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain.

These tenor ukulele strings are nylon and silverwound nylon. Please note that you may have to widen the nut slots on your existing uke to make these strings sit correctly and intonate properly. This is a service we can offer on a new instrument if you tick the box notifying us to fit these strings to a tenor uke you are ordering.

The strings used are manufactured by D'Addario and will come packed individually. Please note, with SUS branded strings the packaging we use may vary from the image in the listing.

These strings will work on a tenor or a standard scale baritone. Players of big baritone instruments like Pono ULN4-1 or BN4-1s may find the strings work but break frequently under the strain of the longer scale length.
