Chris Perkins All Solid Cedar/Amazique 18 inch scale Baritone/Tenor Ukulele #BT2

What an absolutely stunning instrument from Chris Perkins this is. Designed with an 18 inch scale, so it can be tuned either Baritone DGBE or Tenor GCEA successfully, this Baritone/Tenor hybrid has tone, presence and build quality that puts it in the world class bracket. 

The wide 38mm nut makes this an absolute doddle to play, and the neck feels very comfortable and intuitive, certainly in my hands. But, the way it looks and feels is completely blown away by the sound that this beauty makes. It has warmth and depth, with very rich harmonics, and sustain for days.....Chris said that this was just about the stiffest Cedar he has come across, and I can believe it, hearing how resonant this instrument is. But, it is never muddy - always clean and clear, all the way up the neck.

If you have not heard of Amazique, it is also known as Ovangkol or Shedua. But, we like Amazique! Sort of sums it up perfectly.
