Check out the Arctic white Fender Fullerton Jazzmaster electro acoustic concert ukulele.

Fender have an interesting history with ukuleles. They have dabbled over the years with cheaper instruments made in the far east of variable quality and general direction before paying more attention to the uke properly in 2009. One of my earliest memories of working for Southern Ukulele Store is selling the first incarnation of a Montecito tenor ukulele. Customers were always drawn to the Fender iconic designs with the 4 in line machine heads (which by complete chance, actually increase the string tension in a positive way on a ukulele).

In recent years, opinion has been divided with the introduction of the Fullerton series. These ukes offer up the iconic Fender Stratocaster, Telecaster and Jazzmaster shapes in colourful Fender famous colours.

For under £200 in 2023, you are not spoilt for choice if you want a reliable stage instrument. You have a few laminate options by Kala and occasionally you will see something from Snail or Ohana but they are very conventional instruments and you certainly wouldn't have as much fun on a stage with those ukes as you would with these. They sound great and the pickup is a lot of fun!
