Flight 4SBB All Solid Spruce & Indian Rosewood Baritone Ukulele w/Gigbag (4stringboy signature model)

Since going from concept to construction the 4SB "4 String Boy" signature model tenor ukulele made its way to the tippity top of our top ten ukes of 2023. Sammy's signature model is a reflection of his signature style, and the collaboration with Flight was so successful that we now are thrilled to be stocking a baritone version! That's right - the 4SBB!

The original 4 String Boy was a classic fingerstyle player's dream match up of spruce and Indian rosewood... This combination is one of the ultimate wood combinations for a fingerstyle player; if you want to project and produce the cleanest, crispest and aurally pleasing ukulele sounds possible then this is the wood combination you would choose. The baritone model offers something else, or should I say something beyond. It offers all of the tastiness of the tenor, with that full deep and rich classical guitar baritone thickness you need to fill the rest of the register.

In typical Flight fashion and definitely in 4stringboy fashion; this baritone ukulele has the same gorgeous contrasting spalted maple cosmetic adornments on the bevelled edge cutaway, front and back binding and a stylish soundhole rosette as the tenor version. This is matched by the headstock which is equally unique and tastefully done. Finally, the top has a rich black stain making it unforgettable on the eyes.

Why does this ukulele have fret dots on both sides? Well, Sammy has popularised the use of harmonics on the ukulele and the offset markers work as a visual aid for where the key harmonics used in the conventional ukulele keys are.
