Using only the finest cuts of Koa, this uke is made by Japanese master builder Shinji Takahashi and a very highly skilled team to a stratospheric standard on the sunny island of Oahu. Using Japanese construction techniques and values with Hawaiian materials makes for the perfect blend of quality and character.

IMUA ukuleles always feel really easy to play, thanks in no small part to the very slim neck profile, which makes them very easy on the hand, and the 36mm width nut, which allows the fingers to get into the right shapes very comfortably.

This beauty is a long neck (tenor scale) concert ukulele, so you get the feel of a tenor with the sound of a concert ukulele. The sound is a little bit fuller than a standard concert size owing to the slightly longer strings which vibrate a little more widely.

As you would hope of an instrument of this price and pedigree, the sound is quite perfect, with no dead spots across the whole range and very good intonation up the neck. This is a real players instrument of heirloom quality that will satisfy for years!
