Kala Spalted Maple Electro Acoustic U-BASS Ukulele Bass w/Gigbag

The spalted maple Kala uBass® has spalting in the wood that resembles fine point pen scribbles forming wavy black lines and streaks that contrast beautifully with the lighter coloured, two-tone maple. Black binding adds a nice compliment and ties into the spalting. This uBass® has great dynamic range, clarity, tight lows, and ample sustain.

These modern bass ukleles blow the original solid wood versions out of the water. They offer more natural bass response, better pickups and the feeling of a really honed in and accurate instrument. Kala owner Mike Upton has always been a keen bass player and the years of research and development from Kala into the uBass really shines through with the modern spalted maple and/or bamboo laminate series.
