Kanile'a Islander SAT-4 Tenor Ukulele All Solid Acacia
Made in China, the SAT-4 tenor Kanile'a ukulele is the intermediate level Islander model. Made to the same exacting standards as the expensive Hawaiian koa models, these Islanders have a unique charm all of their own.
The solid acacia on this tenor ukulele is a wondrous thing. It makes a very beautiful balanced sound, with very pretty harmonics and good sustain. And in just a few days since the delivery arrived, the shop demo model has opened up significantly, deepening in tone and filling more of the room with sound each time it is played.
One of the most attractive things about this Kanile'a ukulele is the slightly wider than normal fretboard, which at 1.5 inches or 38mm at the nut makes getting your fingers into the right shapes an absolute doddle. Combine that width with a very slinky neck profile and you have a very easy to play ukulele.
