Kanile'a make some of the finest ukuleles on the sunny island of Oahu. Their instruments have incredible finishes, really second to none, and they possess incredible poise, both physically and sonically. K-1 deluxe models also feature upgraded koa bodies.

This Kanile'a K1 tenor ukulele feels so light in the hand, thanks to very clever bracing and beautifully refined, high quality thin wood being used. They're put together by master craftsmen, who love what they do, and this shows.

Everything on the bodies is designed to maximise vibrations - the touch and release bracing allows the top to ring for longer, the internal binding top the top and back is as minimal as possible without compromising structural integrity, and the wood is very carefully selected for the correct grain properties which allows the soundwaves to be created.

Modern Kanile'a K-1 models come with an updated ebony headstock faceplate and white pearl inlays as well as the new improved TRU-R Bracing system which is stiffer and lighter than before. In 2024, Kanile'a rolled out an entire overhaul of the production models adding the TRU Reduction technology to all production models. This makes them lighter and allows the top to vibrate more freely from new.
