The Kanile'a K1 tenor ukulele feel so light in the hand, thanks to very clever bracing and beautifully refined, high quality thin wood being used. They're put together by master craftsmen, who love what they do, and this shows.

These afformentioned master craftsmen have taken thier building expertise to a whole new level this year, and we are thrilled to be the first store in the entirety of Europe to offer Kanile'a ukulele's with TRU-Reduction, a revolutionary technology generating more prescence, resonence, sustain and volume from these already incredible ukulele's. So, let's talk a little about TRU-Reduction.

Using laser guided CAM Kanile'a have developed a system for removing around 40% of material from carefully selected areas of the soundboard in selected ukulele's. Being supremely calculated in this process, avoiding the risk of affecting the instruments rigididty and stability, whilst still removing material, the TRU-Reduction process allows more of the natural resonance of the uke to ring through, creating a truely mesuarable difference in the natural tonewood sound. This huge step forward in the ukulele manufacturing process is a serious breakthrough for Kanile'a, and maybe something we will see emulated down the line from others, just rememeber, Kanile'a did it first!
