Sometimes instruments under £400 are over-built, under-finished and under-whelming. It's always excting to have something new from L.Luthier for many reason, but mostly because the above is never the case when we think of thier ukes.

The base of the M6 is not unlike the Le Maho we already know and love, with creamy and dark all solid mahogany all over. The Le M6 however are satin finished, instead of the high gloss we’ve seen in L.Luthier tenors of the past. Gloss can tighten up the sound of a uke, give in more snap and immediacy, so naturally we get a sweeter and warmer tone from a satin finish allowing the natural quality of the beautiful tone-wood to shine through, fired right up the the player through the personal sound hole.

The Le M6 also benefits from the addition of the same pick-up system found in the existing L.Luthier tenors. An extremely capable one at that. With any piezo/mic blend system, you will find that mixing in too much of the mic can lead to distortion, but mix in around 1/3 and it adds a depth and realism to your sound which is just gorgeous.

We’re thrilled with this latest offering from the guys at L.Luthier, sporting the signature onset and very identifiable sound hole, beautifully finished instruments and neat padded gig bags, blummin’ smashing!
