This Makala 8 string ukulele is quite likely the most well-known beginner's uke on the market. Sound and playability usually suffer at these affordable prices, but not with Makala. It has a fantastic sound and looks and is easy on the wallet.

This is a great uke for testing the waters with playing an 8 string ukulele without breaking the bank. But, like so many cheaper ukes, it requires set up work and attention just not possible when competing with a big box shifter. We charge a few more pounds for this ukulele than other online retailers, but included in the price is our professional set up.
