Millar SP-240 All Solid Spruce/Acacia Concert Ukulele #1

This SP-240 concert ukulele is a brand new model from Millar for 2023! The SP-240 takes the most popular soprano long neck model Millar produce and makes it for the first time in a concert size. I have to say it is absolutely incredible and I didn't want to put it down.

I've often felt like Millar produce some of the best concert ukuleles at any price and the value of this instrument is incredible when you factor in that it is team built by just 2-3 Luthiers at the Millar workshop in Taiwan. Eric at Millar builds his ukuleles with help from his wife, mum and dad and the love and intimacy of the build is always reflected in the feel and sound which is incredible when you consider this is the same price as some top end factory made Kala models.

The spruce top is open and projects wonderfully giving you the full range of tonal options possible on a concert. The acacia back and sides not only looks great but provides the player with a little dose of the aloha spirit in the sound. It's chimey and delicate but loud and throaty. A great uke here.
