Ohana TK35CG Tenor Cutaway Gloss Ukulele All Solid Mahogany

This model differs from the TK35 in that it has a high gloss finish and a cutaway. In all other respects they are identical. The gloss finish hardens the wood, quickens the response and generally adds a little bit of zing to the sound. It is not simply cosmetic at all! To our ears, the gloss version has a slightly brighter tone, more balance in the sound and because of the additional crispness in the sound it is more suitable for a wider number of playing styles.

The bone fixtures and fittings make a nice difference - as a hard material, bone adds to the sustain and volume, allowing the strings to vibrate for longer and louder.

All in all, a very attractive looking and sounding instrument which is on the mellower side owing to the Mahogany, but nevertheless a very good all rounder. And if you want to get up to the dusty end, that cutaway is a must.
