Romero Creations B6-S-SM Steel String Baritone Guitalele Guilele Solid Spruce/Mahogany
The first thing that struck me when trying the B6-S-SM Romero Creations steel string baritone guitalele out was just how poised, clean and clear each note rang out. This instrument may be small but it is distinctly guitar like despite its 21'' scale length and travel sized body.
This instrument really does offer a comprehensive guitar experience at a size that could fit in a large suitcase. The higher register notes really ping and ting with a slight flamenco edge and the lower tension makes this feel much easier to play than the guitar, especially to a ukulele player looking to diversify.
The thru-bridge is a unique feature in the classical guitar world but much more familiar to us ukulele folk and it adds something visually to the instrument. The whole thing feels compact, refined and very modern but the sounds it produces are tinged with an almost pocket like Rodrigo y Gabriella or Julian Bream sound in the hands of a skilled player.
Pictures show an average example.
