The Greenbird is the latest entry into AnueNue's famous Bird series Ukuleles. Starting in 2016 with the Moonbird which was a Moon spruce topped, eclipse themed Ukulele designed over the course of 12 months by Japanese master builder Mitsuta Morihiko. The series has gradually evolved to include many different wood combinations, limited runs and an expansion of sizes. The Greenbird however, is the most affordable uke in the series yet and the first to come with a traditional Mahogany ukulele body.

The Mahogany makes for an extremely warm and smooth tone. It's the first AnueNue to ever remind me of an old Martin ukulele with its smooth satin finish and chonky, thicker sound. There is something very cool about the modern internal bracing and shape of an AnueNue that makes this ukulele more poised and louder than the Kiwayas/Gibson/Martins of yesteryear.

The Green bird name is easily explainable - AnueNue have included a thin green trim to accentuate the spalted maple bindings and trim of this Ukulele. its a unique touch that you don't immediately spot but when you do it only makes you like the instrument more!

The Ukulele comes in an AnueNue hard case and fitted with AnueNue's new Green Planet Fluorocarbon strings which are designed to reproduce a thicker lower mid frequency response for your Ukulele.
