The Rebel Cheesecake Solid Spruce/Mahogany Tenor Ukulele with gigbag
The simple spruce top with mahogany back and sides are part of what makes this Rebel concert ukulele so classically beautiful on the eyes and the ears. The Rebel Cheesecake has no binding or fancy cosmetic detail except for the geometric fret dots.
You are paying for a well finished ukulele made of good select woods with good hardware and one strum really brings that home. This uke is loud and clear without being too ferocious like some spruce top ukes.
The Cheesecake has a slightly thinner body depth, which gives it a little more in the high mids and treble registers without ever being shrill. It has still got a full sound, rich with harmonics, which can be turned successfully to any style.
Phil and I fell madly in love with Rebel at the 2019 NAMM show and we were delighted to be able to share the Rebel experience with our colleagues and customers when opening the delivery for the first time. There isn't a bad or mediocre ukulele in the range - just well made ukes you will want to play every time you open the bag.
Sure, the bag is a bit flamboyant and won't be to everyone's taste - but at least you'll always know where you put your Rebel!
P.S - An earlier delivery of this model in a super concert size received one of Got a Ukulele's highest scores. You can read and watch Baz's very detailed review at here.
