Flight Maia EQ-A Solid Mango Top Steel String Baritone Ukulele w/Gigbag
Back in September 22’ Alex experimented by stringing up a Flight carabao baritone ukulele with steel strings. The void of a steel strung baritone in the Flight roster needed filling however the bracing simply wasn’t up to the tension of the steel and the experiment was ultimately unsuccessful.
Word got back to Flight, and almost two years on the Maia baritone appeared in all its mango topped, rosewood back and side steel strung baritone glory. Truly unlike anything else in the Flight range the Maia is bright, dynamic and truly unique amongst its Flight peers. Intended for DGBE tuning one might consider it to be a short scale tenor guitar in Chicago tuning, but in the ukulele world, it can simply be enjoyed as a totally new Flight steel string baritone with that stunning mango top we’ve seen across many of Flight's existing range.
If the already loud nature of the Maia isn’t enough it is also fitted with a double C1U pickup should you need to amplify or record it. Wrapped up in a Flight branded gigbag this uke is treat, ticking boxes we didn’t eve know could be ticked!
Listing shows a typical example. Where possible we try and photograph instruments individually but this is a very limited batch and we sadly do not have time in the lead up to Christmas to do this. My advice is please don't wait for us to come back to you with photos as these typically sell out quicker than we can manage photo requests.
