Here we have an all solid Hawaiian tenor ukulele and it's to die for! All Big Island acoustic ukes are half made in Hawaii: the wood is milled and prepared in Hawaii, then shipped to a specialist factory in Vietnam for assembly. The quality is excellent, definitely a step up from what you expect to find from most Chinese factories.

This uke just oozes class. Quite apart from its sensational looks, it has a seriously well balanced and clear sound which offers a very wide dynamic range. So quiet fingerpicking sounds very precise, and then big strumming sounds thick and rich but without ever sounding muddy. All the notes in the chords have their own identities but mold together to form a sum greater than the parts.

And I love the Honu bridge - just a beautiful design feature!
