Snail BHC-5C Solid Spruce Top/Ebony Concert Ukulele w/Gigbag
Snail have done it again. Despite having one of the strangest ukulele manufacturer names we have ever come across, time and time again they release new instruments that sound not just good but world class and punch well beyond their weight for the price.
A good Snail on its day can compete with the big boys and up to now, the only thing missing was a choice of which solid woods you could choose from. The SUC-M3 and SUT-M3 have grown to become the most popular solid wood instruments under £500 available here at SUS and Snail's decision to introduce solid top cedar and spruce models had us all eager to open the box.
The model available here is a Snail concert ukulele with solid Spruce top and laminated figured Ebony back and sides. It has a slotted headstock, unbranded but very sturdy and accurate machineheads, a clean and clinical looking gloss finish and a crisp, clear and dynamic sound. The instrument is very light in your hands like all Snails and basic chords ring out in just the most lovely way.
10/10 - We can't recommend them enough. Pictures show an average example. For pictures of actual stock, please drop us a line.
