In the hand, the 35mm nut width feels very comfy and familiar. The sound is also class leading at the price; there are good laminates and bad laminates. Bad laminates are very thick and heavily built, causing the sound to become muddy and muffled. The laminates used on Snail ukes are nice and thin and stiff, meaning the sound is much sprightlier - clean trebles, nice sustain and a decent tone.
