SUS 'FLIGHT UKULELE TAKEOVER DAY' EVENT 26th OCTOBER 2024 - 4 Acts, 3 Workshops 12pm-7pm

The second Southern Ukulele Store 'Ukulele Takeover Day' is a Flight Ukulele special. We have 3 well known Flight Ukulele artists (and Ukes With Alex to close out the day). Your ticket will pay for access to all 4 artists performances and 3 workshops.

4STRINGBOY - Sammy Turton
Sammy is one of the hottest Ukulele players in the world right now. Born in England but currently based and teaching out of Denmark; Sammy has the distinction of being named the 'ukulele player's ukulele player...'. His fans include Andrew Molina, James Hill, Phil Doleman, Corey Fujimoto and Kalei Gamiao.

What so special about this foul mouthed, tattooed uker? Well, for one he is innovative with a hybrid felt thumb picking technique and an emphasis on ukulele harmonics and melody. It's impossible to play ukulele and not love 4stringboy. Sammy has a signature Flight Ukulele (4sb model) which we named out ukulele of the year for 2023. We are delighted to have him back a year later to headline our second ukulele takover event.

Sammy will be teaching his famous 'Harmonic workshop' which is suitable for experienced beginner/intermediate players. Knowing the basics of ukulele is essential but you do not need to have technical prowess to get the most out of this workshop.

Dani Usero
Dani is possibly the worlds most handsome man and an undeniably talented teacher and Ukulele player. He began his Ukulele journey back in 2011 and was one of Flight's first artists on the roster. His unique playing style filled with personality and personal approach to performing and teaching make him an extremely exciting guest for this event. We have been watching him from afar since 2019 - we are excited to finally get him in store.

Dani will be teaching a workshop on the day and performing.

Tyler Austenfeld (Ten Thumbs Pro)
Tyler is fun, vibrant, energetic and a fantastic ukulele player with so much to give! We first met Tyler when he helped load in all of our ukuleles at the UFOGB in 2024, he then stayed and spent 8 hours selling Flight Ukuleles with us. A lovely man with a great playing style. We later learned Tyler and his Ten Thumbs Pro project is one of the most subscribed and watched ukulele channels on the planet and he has just passed us by all these years. Originally from the US but currently based in London, we can't wait to get him down to Bournemouth to play and teach all of you.

Ukes With Alex (Alex Beds)
'Hi I'm Alex from Southern Ukulele Store'. I have been a ukulele performer and teacher for 16 years... Many of you will have seen me from the Southern Ukulele Store YouTube channel or my own Ukes With Alex channel where I perform and teach ukulele. Whilst I am not strictly a Flight artist; I have been asked to do an event for the shop for nearly a decade and this seems like the time to do it. In great company with some very talented musicians. I will close out the event for those that stay the distance.
