The Rebel - All Solid Spruce/Mahogany Slimline Super Concert Ukulele (Cheesecake) w/Bag #0919_01

Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides and part of what makes this Ukulele stand out is it's simplicity. The Cheesecake has no binding or fancy cosmetic detail except for the geometric-esque fret dots. You are paying for a well finished Ukulele made of good select woods with good hardware and one strum really brings that home. This Ukulele is loud and clear without being too ferocious like some Spruce top Ukes.

The Tenor neck on Concert body gives the instrument a very unique voicing too - the meaty sustain of each note is apparent but the tighter, thinner Concert body goes a long way in focusing the attack and release of each note. The Cheesecake has a slightly thinner 5cm body depth but you'd never know from such a big sound.

Phil and I fell madly in love with Rebel at the 2019 NAMM show and we were delighted to be able to share the Rebel experience with our colleagues and customers when opening the delivery for the first time. There isn't a bad or mediocre Ukulele in the range - just well made Ukes you will want to play every time you open the bag.

Sure, the bag is a bit flamboyant and won't be to everyones taste - but at least you'll always know where you put your Rebel!
