The Rebel - Limited Edition 'Neri' - Solid Acacia Concert Ukulele w/Gigbag

The Rebel Q series has done it again... For a decade now; Rebel have produced concept instruments in extremely limited numbers. These instruments are all unique with underlying themes such as changing one wood combination or the position of a soundhole. The never ending search for improvements in the sound and feel of a ukulele is a big mission of Rebel's. The 2024 Q series is named 'Neri'. We took 3 of the dozen or so available on launch.

This concert ukulele has a high quality mango top, back and sides with a gorgeous figured marrango wood used for the neck and various accent woods used all around. The placement of the sound holes and the unique hole on top of the shoulder of the uke make for a very loud ukulele with a very evenly dispersed sound. This ukulele is a rare beast for Rebel who to my knowledge haven't used acacia much previous but absolutely should! It sounds so calming and mellow. The ukulele is fantastic for fingerpicking with every little nuance in the playing coming through perfectly. The potential of this ukulele is staggering, honestly. I hope it finds a good forever home with someone who will appreciate it!

The Rebel logo is inlaid in the back of the headstock with this series getting a unique offset headstock shape. It feels like a masterbuilt instrument, soundwise and feel wise it is very 'Rebel' but also reminds me of premium South Korean luthier OulCraft.
