Here we have a used Kala KA-BFTE, which is a few years old but in fundamentally decent condition. There are a few glossier patches on the top, where the Satin finish has been buffed up by contact with hands and clothes, and a small dink to the binding on the bottom bout on the back. But, on the whole it is very presentable and a solid 8.5/10 cosmetically.

The laminate Bocote wood is sensational to look at, and makes a good strong acoustic sound with a sweet tone. The Ebony nut and saddle really add to the ring of this uke, and this is improved by the Martin M620 strings. The pickup is a Kala UK300, which features a built in tuner, making this a very good on stage or recording tool.
