Do not be put off by the fact that this is a laminate instrument! Laminates have their place - if you are travelling from one climate zone to another, a laminate makes perfect sense as they are largely immune to changes in temperature and humidity, like solid wood instruments can be. But settling for this model would not be too much of a compromise as the sound is very sweet - on the mellow side as most laminates can be, but balanced, with a decent volume.
