USED KoAloha Opio Electro Acoustic Tenor Ukulele All Solid Spruce/Acacia w/MiSi Acoustic Trio

£600.00 £600.00

It is scientifically impossible not to fall in love with a Spruce top KoAloha Opio Tenor... They are just too good and all just too special to deny them the privelage of your love. This particular Ukulele has been kept wrapped in cotton wool from new and has a couple of small hard to spot dings scattered around the top and back but a MiSi Acoustic Trio pickup (A gigging musicians best friend) more than makes up for it. If you are out there performing and want one of the best instruments with the best pickups at any price and don't mind that somebody else played it in for you then snap this one up before some else does..

Condition 9/10, Overall package 11/10..

What we say...
KoAloha have been very clever here. They have taken their designs for soprano, concert and tenor ukuleles, and had them made in Spruce and Acacia in a very, very good factory in Thailand. The result? Astonishing value for money!

Most of the design features, the DNA if you will, that make KoAloha what they are are found here: the 5 pointed crown headstock, the slinky feeling neck, the Musubi soundhole shape, the clever internal unit-bracing, the attention to detail, and the sheer flamboyance of the sound. In fact, the sound is very, very similar to the Koa models that KoAloha are so famous for. The build quality is just as tight, and feel in the hand just as good.
Something worth noting about these Spruce Opios as well is the way in which they begin to wear with play. Customers that have visited the shop recently with earlier Opio's have had Ukuleles with deliciously scratched tops that look like they have been round the world several times over in just a couple of years. Spruce is a soft wood and the satin finish does leave it prone to a bit of a battering from your fingernails. Perhaps somebody who likes to keep their instrument shiny and new should invest in a scratchplate early on.

This model with the Solid spruce top is an absolute stormer. Fuller and bassier than the all Acacia model, it has a huge dynamic range and when strummed possibly the most luscious and gorgeous sound with all the volume and sustain you could wish for.
