USED Noah All Solid Spruce/Mahogany Electro Acoustic 8 String Baritone Ukulele w/Bag

This electro acoustic baritone ukulele really caught my eye when a customer asked to trade it in earlier this week. It is a rare pre-owned Noah 8 string baritone ukulele.

Noah Ukuleles are a UK based company that have very cool and quirky instruments made by luthiers in Vietnam... this isn't dissimilar to now defunct ukulele brand Zachary Taylor ukes or even Hawaiian favourites Big Island who use a small team in Vietnam to produce an array of great ukes

This ukulele is actually a hybrid scale tenor/baritone with a 19'' scale length making it just as suitable for GCEA as DGBE. We have restrung the ukulele with Kamaka S-48 baritone 8 string strings which work very well but require a light touch to make the low notes really sing. It's a great uke with a rich, velvety sound and a great traditional ukulele with a heritage sunburst finish over a solid spruce top and traditional solid mahogany back and sides.

The fingerboard and bridge is an interesting Vietnamese indigenous wood called gõ mật. A similar looking and tonally open wood to rosewood.

The condition of this ukulele is great, someone out there is getting a bargain and a ukulele capable of being many things at once with its unique scale length. Finally lets talk about the body which is more of a super tenor shape than a conventional baritone ukulele. A great uke that does a lot to create a new idea of what an 8 string uke can be... Oh yeh, and you can plug it in!
