Here, Pono have created a very refined and beautiful 8 string tenor ukulele made of all solid mahogany. This tenor has a well balanced sound and good note separation. This is the model with the satin finish, which gives a slightly mellower and more rounded sound than the deluxe gloss finish version (MTD-8). The truss rod in this model makes it easy to set up nicely, with a very playable action. One of the easiest 8 strings around to play! It's very easy on the hands and the ears.

All solid wood 8 string ukuleles are extremely rare for some reason right now. The condition is good however there are three dings in the top of the uke as pictured above. The neck has been well looked after but naturally shined up from play. Pono ukuleles age wonderfully... none of this is to the detriment of the instrument. It has also been retro fitted with a Fishman C-8 pickup system so it's ready for a live show.
