The solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides on this tenor are stunning, but what makes this ukulele stand out is it's simplicity. The Double Cheese has no binding or fancy cosmetic detail except for the geometric-esque fret dots. You are paying for a well finished ukulele made of good select woods with good hardware and one strum really brings that home. This tenor ukulele is loud and clear without being too ferocious like some spruce top ukes.

The world has been pleading with Rebel to produce this instrument in a tenor size and we are so delighted that they finally have. The meaty sustain of each note is apparent and accentuated by the thicker conventional depth body (the Cheesecake is the slimline model in the range). This instrument is direct and very full sounding which is exactly what many uke players have been looking for at this price and haven't been spoiled for choice.

Shipped in its original and very recognisable Rebel gigbag, this used model was traded in to us by a regular customer who has always taken very great care of his instruments. The only mark I can find on this one is a very small mark on the top from what looks like a thumb nail, but it's so small that I can't actually capture it in a photograph. Other than that, and the slight deterioration of the label inside, it's a total peach.
