USED Vintage 1960's Gold Label Kamaka Tenor w/hard case

We are really happy to offer this rare beast! It's really pretty unusual to find one of these with the iconic "sail" headstock, you find them on their concert size ukes, but not many tenors were made with it. The wood is dark stained and possibly/probably mahogany. It has the coveted gold Kamaka Hawaiian made label with a few other noteworthy features including really lovely wooden bridge pins and a wooden nut.

The tone is absolutely beautiful. It had massive depth and is incredibly warm and rich. Sustain is long and it plays wonderfully. It is crack free but there are plenty of scratches and chips as you should expect from a uke of this age and there has been a filler job on the neck at some point, but all just adds to the history of this beautiful old uke and the mojo that comes along with it. Shipped in a rectangular hardcase with handles on the side and top and some of the original paperwork.
